The Storm on the MV Lackenby

In 1978, sixteen-year-old Clive Dutton was a Deck Boy aboard the huge cargo ship MV Lackenby, returning to Britain fully laden with iron ore when the crew received terrifying news: they were heading straight into a hurricane. At first, Clive doesn't understand what lies ahead. But as the storm builds, the ship is battered by enormous waves, violent winds, and huge hailstones. The sea rises like a mountain range, washing over the ship as the fully laden Lackenby plunges into deep valleys and then struggles back up the towering waves.
