This instrument study guide is specifically written to cover all areas of knowledge required by the most current revisions of the FAA Instrument Rating Airplane Airmen Certification Standards.
This study guide contains over 300 pages of scenario based questions focused specifically on helping students learn and demonstrate understandings in all instrument knowledge areas. This version is written specifically for Western Michigan University students who are primarily learning instrument procedures in the Cirrus SR20 Gen 7 fleet. While the knowledge in this is generally universal, there are questions specific to this make and model.
The study guide follows the format of the ACS and is a supplement to the FAA handbooks and references listed in the reference section for each ACS Task. It is not a replacement for ground training with a qualified instructor. Use this guide in conjunction with FAA-approved resources to develop a deeper level of knowledge.
