The gang problem in America is no longer isolated to inner city slums. Through the years gangs have spread to smaller and smaller communities, they have become more violent and more bold. The number of gang members residing in the country is astounding. If the number were to be cut in half tomorrow it would still be the size of a major city. This is not a problem that is on the verge of going away any time soon. Which means you owe it to yourself to understand exactly what we’re facing, to understand what appears to be working, what is clearly not working, and what the average outraged or simply concerned member of the public can do about it.
