This book juxtaposes contemporary photography with one of the poems of John Keats. Against the backdrop of John Keats epic poem Hyperion, romanticism is addressed through the ideals of poetry, beauty, knowledge and experience. Hyperion marks the exchange of the old powers for the new and is concerned with both pleasure and pain as being integral to life. In Canto II, Apollo undergoes his transformation into the new ruling god. He meets with Mnemosyne, or memory and the mother of the Muses, in order to assume his powers and to attain immortality.
