The evening's first offering is a distant ancestor of the "found footage" plot. The real hero of THE CANARY AND THE BULLFROG is Peeky, a marble-sized floating camera, virtually invisible, which accompanies Lt. Frank Moran on his labyrinthine investigation into the abduction of the "Canary"--nightclub singer LuDean LeGrande--by the "Bullfrog", a dangerous underworld kingpin. Next on the program is a tale of psychological torment manifested in the paranoid delusions of Jasper Crayton, whose agoraphobic life in an apartment building has led him to view his NEIGHBORS in aloof contempt. Yet an unexpected reunion with an old bully--and a change in another resident's hair color--rattles his emotions to the point where he may finally discover the courage to explore his own vulnerability...and capacity for love.
