The Passage concerns the experience of a dying best friend, loved one, and spouse of thirty years now comatose in Hospice. It is chronicled by her husband's daily journal kept at her bedside. It details the frustration, anger, sorrow, rage, grief and soul-searching involved in dealing with death's unforgiving process. The book does not hold back on emotions and feelings nor mince words; rather is brutally honest and at times possibly harsh. The words originate from the breaking heart of someone out of options and facing his best friends imminent death. The journal reveals the raw pain, angst, heartbreak, frustration and sorrow which inevitably all human beings will face sooner or later in the future, without exception. "The Passage" will help people cope when faced with tragedy, and in some small measure let them know and understand they are not alone. For one day they too will make this passage through to the other side as will we all.
