Pinnacle

The energies of the world are in balance. They must stay in balance. Beneath twin magical suns, the kingdom of Forthwind enjoys relative stability. This is largely due to the efforts of Tower Mages to maintain magical equilibrium. Amid their search for dangerous invaders, Gelwin and his mentor, Ishani, are led to Arbaz, a small mining village from which much of the kingdom's wealth flows. They discover the normally quiet village plagued with violence, its lawkeepers overwhelmed in their efforts to maintain order. As he seeks to help his mentor find the hidden invaders and to help the townspeople restore balance, Gelwin's knowledge and experience are tested in ways he never expected.
