"Saving the Whales" is the first in a series of novels chronicling the adventures of Bwana Doc, international environmental pirate extraordinaire. He defends the environment from the depredations of governments and companies. In "Saving the Whales", Bwana Doc takes on the Japanese whaling industry which is killing whales in the Antarctic to sell their meat in the markets of Asia.
