It was a Friday very early in February when everything changed. Mum wasn't home at her usual time, and she texted to let me know that my grandfather wasn't very well, and she would be staying with him. ​This book was written over the two months after that, as I tried to make sense of the resulting mortality of man, or rather of a specific man. The idea of it still daunts me even today. But I hope that this, in some way, helps.
