War Hero

During the Vietnam War, Lewis Jameson, a 19 year old American man is stationed in Vietnam, fighting for his country after being drafted into the army. Weeks after meeting his platoon, learning the rules of the army, and preparing for battle, Lewis and some other soldiers make a decision that would change all of their lives forever. Lewis is captured by the Vietcong and held in a prison cell in the middle of the jungle. His only hope is Lien, a young Vietcong girl, who feels she must help Lewis escape. The play takes place mainly in the war torn jungles of Vietnam, but some scenes also include a Vietcong village/market, a Vietnamese landowner’s home, a war camp in the jungle, a gravesite, and a cell in the jungle where war prisoner’s are held by the Vietcong.
