Brutally beaten and impoverished by her sadistic ex-husband, still recovering from the murder of her parents, out of her element and hopelessly trapped in a dead-end job, Amy has had more than enough to be depressed and cynical about. Now, a pathological misogynist with the skill to know her every move is stalking her on the Internet. Ready to embrace a Prozac fog, Amy discovers her plight has become even more complicated by the strong possibility that her tormentor is a nomadic serial killer known as Shockspeare. The police are indifferent and condescending. Her friends are non-existent.
