Danny's Story

A man wearing a black fur trimmed coat stepped up onto stage. The room was filled with the loud cheering of thousands of people, though this man had come to declare the world’s fate. “Today I have some bad news to bring to you. I am just going to get to the point by saying… The end of the world is coming, and soon. In about fifty years we will no longer be able to live on earth, but I know how we can survive!” Again the room was filled with clapping, and whistles. It was odd to think that these people would be in a good mood after they have just heard that it is the end of the world, but these people had so much trust in the man giving this speech that they would believe anything he said, and they believed that they would survive. “We are going to build a city bigger than 3 or four major cities combined, and taller than Mt. Everest. So tall it will actually reach outer space.” The crowd silenced. “This is no joke.
