The story of two shark gods, Kaʻahupahau and Kahiʻuka. They were children living at Puʻuloa Ewa Lagoon on the island of Oʻahu when they went missing, but had turned into sharks. They guarded the waters of Ewa to keep the people safe from other man-eating sharks. The great shark war began here where thousands of sharks came from all over the Hawaiian islands to fight. Kaʻahupahau was killed, but her brother, Kahiʻuka survived and lives on even to this day protecting the people of Ewa from being eaten by sharks. Kahiʻuka remains the shark god in Ewa.
