The true recounted stories contained herein reflect life events I experienced during my youth while living in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of north central Pennsylvania. Folks in that area were honest, generally sweet as sugar, hard-working and faithful to God and country. Many of the challenges faced by the wonderful country folks often included an array of asymmetrical problems; however struggles made families like mine strong in character and patient in the effort to endure. Using humor as an antidote to relieve stress from the struggle kept the problem-solving process manageable and, at times, belly-laughing enjoyable.
