Beadwork

This picture book contains more than ninety color images of David Farnsworth's beadwork. David selected a sample of his work that was completed between 1997 and 2008. The principal criterion for inclusion was originality. Although the majority of his beadwork is jewelry, few jewelry items made the cut. The images fall naturally into the four categories: Part I: Quilts, Pictures, and Other Small Flat Objects, Part II: Three-Dimensional Pieces, Part III: Jewelry, Part IV: A Large Picture. Odds 'n' ends and whimsies appear in the last section, Miscellany. David did all the photography, mostly in July 2009. David is the author of nine articles about beading and of numerous smaller items in magazines. His works have received many ribbons at the New York State Fair. His pieces have been shown in two annual Made in NY exhibitions at the Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center in Auburn, New York. His Bocce Ball Necklace #2 was in Bead International 2004 at the Dairy Barn Southeastern Ohio Cultural Arts Center, Athens.
