Tapestry's Edge is a stage play trilogy it's Author is creating by combining two existing stage plays written by the Author titled Faces In The Raft, and Voices From The Cafe. The third part of the trilogy is titled Footsteps On The Bridge and it is being actively created by the Author. In Footsteps On The Bridge, refugees from different time periods converge upon a town where they must cross a river to survive, but the river's bridge has been destroyed and they inspired to build a raft made from destroyed building debris and the bodies of other refugees who have not survived their journeys. Faces seen below the floorboards while they cross the river, inspire the stories they tell in the stage play. In Voices From The Cafe, refugees from different time periods converge upon the town again, and rebuild the bridge when they are inspired to do so by being able to tell their stories in a Cafe that is along the river's edge. In Footsteps On The Bridge, refugees from different time periods will tell their stories about what has inspired them to cross the bridge and go on with their lives. The Author was creating these stories when he decided to begin writing another stage play titled An End To War An End To Peace, which is based upon a personal insight that the author had about Homer's The Odyssey after returning home from the Gulf War. The insight is that The Odyssey is probably a poetic depiction of what life was like for Odysseus after he returned home from the Trojan War, and it came into the Author's mind after he learned that Homer is considered to have been a combat veteran. The Author volunteered to be deployed to Saudi Arabia with his Army Reserve Unit before the Gulf War started and, shortly after they arrived, they learned that their Unit was one of two units that had been actively targeted to be wiped out by a terrorist group. They called them terrorists solely because the War hadn't started yet. Because of this dubious honor, the Author spent much of his time before and during the Gulf War working on various assignments in Saudi Arabia, transporting himself in a civilian vehicle with only fourteen bullets for the entire War, and constantly wondering who the bad guys were. At War's end, the Author was in Kuwait City after its liberation as part of a Task Force to see what was needed to jumpstart the City, and he led a Team which evaluated Hospitals, Food Stores and other Facilities, and many we met wanted us to know what had happened.
