Alexander Stanislavsky is a rich Russian teenager who lives like a king at his boarding school. His life revolves around a trinity of sex, alcohol, and British music, and due to his family name he is wholly untouchable. That is, until he's expelled entirely. A spectacular farce, a wacky romp, a shocking trip that takes us from the drug scene of Moscow to sex on the beaches of Mexico to a thrilling climax of hyperviolence. In this magical realist screwball comedy, Russian culture clashes with everything that stands in its way. Alex serves as our highly unreliable narrator, a young man of many obsessions, all of which are trumped by his own self-obsession.
