While attending the funeral of a fellow actor, former character actor Jerry Randolph, 58, is told “they go in threes.” The “they” is famous people. Famous people like Jerry. As he becomes obsessed with surviving through the next two celebrity deaths, Jerry also has to deal with his feelings toward his daughter and her 57- year-old fiancé, the return into his life of his first ex-wife, and the possibility that he’s being stalked by a carload of college kids.
Three’s A Charm is a cross between Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner and When Harry Met Sally. It is a comedy about growing older and accepting – or not – our eventual demise. It speaks about family as the ultimate priority. Three’s A Charm shows how love can bloom for anyone at any age, as long as they’re not afraid to look.
