THE ANOINTING

Any believer, clergy or servant of God that will ever be useful, impactful or relevant in the scheme of God’s end-time agenda must of a necessity be anointed and empowered through the “upon” experience of the Holy Ghost. While thanking God for the Holy Spirit being “with” us and “in” us, we must all hunger to go up higher to the next level… The “upon” experience of the Holy Spirit where the anointing is. “And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.” (Acts 2:3 – KJV). The anointing is a must-have for anybody who would serve God and function effectively in ministry. No matter what your ministerial calling is, you will need the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit to fulfill your divine assignment. You need the power to bind and cast out devils, power to heal the sick, power to expound and exegete the Word of God, or to declare a thus saith the Lord. The anointing is mandatory! No man could ever accomplish a divine assignment without a divine anointment. Even if you ended up on the pulpit, without an anointing, you would only be having a good time with yourself and not making any impact whatsoever on the people. “The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.” (Lk. 18:11 – KJV). The anointing is a divine enablement that confers supernatural ability, grace or unction on the individual to enable you fulfill the divine assignment God gave you to do. The anointing is not a feeling, idea or atmosphere; it is a knowing; an assurance that God is here and now present and with you. The anointing is the tangible, manifested presence and power of God. Although God is omnipresent (everywhere present), his presence is not everywhere manifested (or put on display). The anointing and power of the Holy Spirit is that which enables you to perform or function effectively in your God-given assignment. It is that supernatural capacity, aptitude, strength or force that is made available in the fulfilment of a divine task. The anointing of the Holy Spirit is like the cutting edge for kingdom service. The more anointed you are in your area of calling (teaching, prophesying, pastoring or evangelizing), the more proficient and more impactful you become. Without the anointing, your tool for ministry, the ‘iron axe’, becomes dull and produces little or no results.
