About Deborah Sawyer

Deborah Sawyer is the author of several business books; in "Other People's Problems", she distills the wisdom she and other entrepreneurs gained over a 30 year period. As is the case with much of Ms. Sawyer's writing, the emphasis is on the practical, not the theoretical. Over the years, Ms. Sawyer has been a "serial entrepreneur". She began her career as a professional indexer, then went on to work as a freelance indexer which led to freelancing as a business writer and then leading business writing seminars (with a fellow writer, Jerry Amernic.) After this, Ms. Sawyer turned to information retrieval, then business research, offering diverse services through her companies, Information Plus Inc. (in Canada) and Information Plus (America) Inc. in the US. Today, these firms concentrate on publishing, such as Ms. Sawyer's most recent book, while her other ventures include: designing and making wearable art and crafts, running a small apartment building and a B&B, and acting.
