A collection of the histories and personal memories of three generations of the Waters family. Gathered in pieces after my father's death, this narrative spans over a century of happiness, hardship and life.
Inspired by a blank journal and a grandson's wish, this book contains stories written by my grandmother Azzie Fouts Waters and my father Eugene O'Neil Waters as well as my own reflections about their lives and my memories of them. From the Blue Ridge Mountains of Depression-era Georgia through mid-century travel and romance to beyond the new millenium, this collection captures snapshots from the past for future generations.
In reading their words, my hope is that their dreams, emotions, values and faith will serve as inspiration for us all.
