Dionysios the Athenian

The story traces the life of a fictional character named Dionysios and is set in classical Athens. He cherishes a mask of the god Dionysos, even though he does not believe in the traditional gods of Greece. When the mask is stolen, Dionysios sets out with his slave Euphronios in pursuit of four suspects. Danger awaits them as they travel to Phoenicia, Carthage, Asia Minor, Egypt and Etruria in Italy.
