The framework of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was established by God the Father before the foundation of the world to accomplish three grand purposes: One – That we could be prepared and enabled to look inward to discover and improve our own relationship to God and Christ while we navigate this mortal state; and to also be prepared and enabled to look upward to seek for divine guidance on how to best grow and strengthen our relationship with Them; Two – We would then be prepared and enabled to look outward, that we would be agents of bringing faith, hope and charity into the lives of others, that they, with us, may be drawn unto God and Christ and be gathered, with us, into the House of Israel; and, Three – That we would be prepared and enabled to look forward by receiving God’s choicest blessings of exaltation as families through partaking of the ordinances and covenants God has designed to provide us with a fullness of joy.
