It's about finding your spot. After wandering all over California, Derek Powazek found himself in San Francisco, in one of the city's worst neighborhoods, with little more than a website to his name. During the next few years, moment by moment, Derek lost love, found friends, and discovered himself through his new home: San Francisco. In the steep streets and narrow Victorian houses, in hidden gardens and on curbs, among yuppies, homeless, hippies, working stiffs, musicians and artists, with discarded office plants and adopted animals, Derek found the stories that have become his life.
