RENDEZVOUS FOR MURDER

Dave Nweke and his wife Amaka have wealth and influence but no child after many years of marriage. They deploy their considerable wealth and resources looking for one. Their quest takes them across Nigeria and much of Europe. In the process, Dave dies in highly mysterious circumstances. His wife, is accused by his friends and relatives of murdering him. Internecine war looms. Jamike Nnadozie (Jam), a disgraced former Chief Inspector of Police, is approached by Bashorun, his former boss, to investigate the case. He turns him down. But circumstances and unintended events finally force Jam to step in. At first, Bashorun thinks the case is a piece of cake, a small family quarrel and, literally, asks Jam to take and eat. Without knowing it, Jam picks up the “cake” and finds out it is in reality a bomb of several megatons with shrapnel of murder, blackmail, revenge, jealousy, greed, lust, marital infidelity and others, all cleverly encoded in it.
