I had visited Siem Reap just a couple of years after Cambodia first opened for tourism, after decades of civil war. I had the unique privilege of taking photos of ordinary life as it was at that time. It was a remarkable journey to a remarkable land. I loved the food, I loved the people. Little did I know that I would carry these memories with me all my life. This photo book captures images from Ankgor Wat, Angkor Thom, Bayon, Banteay Srei, Ta Prohm, the Floating Villages of Ton Le Sap Lake, the Terrace of the Leper King, Preah Khan and many others. It focuses on architectural masterpieces like the Angkor Wat temple and religious architecture from the Khmer period encompassing Hinduism and Buddhism.
