The Great Covenant

The Great Final Covenant, transcribed and annotated by Peng Dianzhu and Mo Yuan, centers on religious thought and is divided into two parts: Seven Stars Scroll and Reaching Heaven Scroll. The former consists of chapters expounding religious classics and interpreting the principles of the I Ching; the latter focuses on the “Son of Man”, covering his descent, mission and related themes.It also incorporates criticism of Confucian thought, constructing a unique cosmology and soteriology that combine religious exegesis and ideological expression.
