A revolution against a socialist regime rages in Chile during the post-Vietnam Cold War. United States intelligence watches nervously as the Soviet Union launches ships loaded with reinforcements to support the regime and crush its opponents. If the ships make it to Chile the western hemisphere will never be the same.
President Roy Bryan has authorized a clandestine Special Forces HALO team to go deep into the jungles of South America to destroy a pipeline and prevent the ships from refueling in Buenaventura, Colombia. Major Ron Harris has little time to assemble and train an elite team of Special Forces' finest men to embark on this highly-sensitive mission that, if discovered, could ignite a world war.
Author Don Bishop draws on his experience as a Special Forces demolitions and HALO (High Altitude, Low Opening) instructor to paint a vivid picture of the gritty missions and hidden heroes behind clandestine warfare.
