Refugee

It was summer break, and 28-year-old elementary school teacher, Courtney Desmond, had decided to spend the summer at her father's home in Omaha, Nebraska. One morning, Courtney was washing dishes and peering out of the kitchen window when she noticed a stranger walk up the driveway, and get eye-to-eye with Henry the goat. Then suddenly, Henry head butted the man in the stomach and causing him to fall back and striking his head against the chopped wood pile. They brought him into the farmhouse and the Doc began treating the man. After a week, they found that the man’s name was Devanni, and that he was an escaped slave from the Nagardy prison ship. The fact that Devanni was an extraterrestrial, made no difference to Courtney nor her father. However, Doctor Desmond made a shocking discovery that started a series of adventurous and fretful events.
