The Psionic Man

Al Rice, an HIV positive hemophiliac, awakens one morning and finds that he is completely healed, and in addition to that he has acquired powerful psionic powers. He learns that all this was brought about by benevolent beings in a UFO. But he finds that there are other aliens visiting Earth who are not so benevolent, and they want him dead. Further, the friendly aliens are unable to help Al, because by their own laws they are forbidden to engage in combat with other cultures. Al's only allies are a small group of UFO investigators. The group includes Sue Martinez, who is kidnapped by the evil aliens to lure Al into a trap. They have invented a device that nullifies Al's powers.
