Era of Cabals

"Era of Cabals" (originally titled in Vietnamese as Kỷ Nguyên Âm Mưu) by Dong Yen is a heavily politically charged, anti-communist, and anti-globalist text written from a conservative perspective. It analyzes and critiques what the author perceives as widespread international conspiracies, global government agendas, and the systematic failures of big government. The author asserts that the Western world has been operating without real public leadership since the Vietnam War. Instead, it is allegedly controlled by a "Phantom Government" or "Deep State" driven by secret organizations like the Illuminati, the Bilderberg Club, the Trilateral Commission, and the Council on Foreign Relations. The book explicitly targets powerful banking lineages (specifically naming the Rockefeller and Rothschild families) and international Jewish financiers, accusing them of attempting to orchestrate a "New World Order" or a single Global Government ruled entirely by money and geopolitical manipulation. The text claims that International Communism is not a grassroots movement of the working class but a tool created and manipulated by power-seeking billionaires to achieve corporate, medical, and monetary monopolies over the planet. The author heavily condemns U.S. administrations (beginning with Bill Clinton) for normalizing diplomatic and trade relations with communist regimes in Hanoi and Beijing. The author views these foreign policy maneuvers as an act of utilitarianism that essentially "sold out" South Vietnam to the Chinese orbit under the guise of globalization. The author argues that international institutions—like the Nobel Peace Prize—are used as tools of political bribery and manipulation rather than true peace. Drawing on arguments from conservative and libertarian thinkers (such as Milton Friedman and Mark Steyn), the author dedicates significant space to proving that "government is the source of the problem" rather than the solution to societal issues. The book reviews major U.S. systemic failures and attributes them directly to state over-regulation and bureaucratic self-interest. The author concludes that modern democracies have degenerated into a system "of the people, by the bureaucracy, for the bureaucracy". To return power to ordinary citizens, the book strongly advocates for radical structural changes in the political mechanism—most notably the implementation of strict term limits for politicians to neutralize entrenched administrative power.
