1999, the run-up to the Apocalypse: the author—who may/may not be Isaac—frantically tries to return to his anal-orals phase. To do this he recreates his psychotherapy in Montreal, 1979. Despite Mako, the shrink, the author succeeds and rediscovers his first true love, the mystical, 4-yr. old redhead, Oona. She, in turn, in a burning prairie field, briefly lifts him out of the anal-oral into mature, adult sexual being. Only then can he confront his most terrifying, traumatic childhood event. Throughout, “I” is aided or foiled by two mythic beings, Mephisto-Phallus and Gyno-Hecate, and is stalked by “i”, his long-alienated “feminine side,” who hungers to physically re-unite with him. This book debunks psychotherapy, derails postmodernism and redefines the narrative "I". Satirical, irreverant & funny!
