The Hobbit Code
In the quiet, root-carved village of Underburl, peace is maintained by the perfect, self-correcting rhythm of the world—a concept the hobbits call The Flow.
Its guardian is Belladonk 'Donk' Chubb, an unassuming genius whose mind holds the Hobbit Code, the complete, fundamental algorithm of existence. Donk’s greatest desire is simply the pursuit of laminar flow and the perfection of his pear cider.
But far north, in the iron heart of Sarkh, the ruthless Cinder Guild is failing to build the machine that will grant them dominion. Led by the cold, calculating Vex, they send an armored unit to capture Donk and extract his impossible wisdom. Donk foils the attack using only the physics of friction, density, and a generous supply of fermented cider, proving his brilliance lies beyond brute force.
Recognizing the power of the natural world, Vex pivots to a far more insidious strategy: The Long Game of Chaos. She dispatches Silus, a charming agent of subtle contamination, to slowly poison the Flow with synthetic fungi and engineered instability, aiming to break Donk's certainty and corrupt his philosophical core.
As his beloved home descends into a calculated, maddening disarray, Donk must abandon counter-attack. He must execute the Theorem of Return, proving that the inherent, Immutable Wisdom of the natural order is the only sustainable system. If he fails, the Hobbit Code will be corrupted, and the entire world will fall into the hands of Sarkh’s pitiless, computational ambition.
The ultimate conflict is not one of strength, but of systems: the perfection of nature versus the instability of artifice.
