The Contextual Rehabilitation model is a change model that facilitates people’s movement through success according to the context of their life wherever it is in the societal continuum. The Contextual Rehabilitation Model (CRmodel) is one of the only comprehensive theories and treatment models that emphasize treatment, recovery and change for the long-term client of the mental health (or other) service systems. It is based on the Social Competency model, which is known for its success working with people who suffer from the long-term mental illness. The CRmodel, being a contextual model has significant treatment implications to any other system’s consumers regardless of their diagnosis or illness.
