There are words that are created and brought to the forefront – as well as others pushed back – to force us to adopt a certain way of thinking rather than another. Thus, economy, associated with freedom, naturally leads us to the idea that we must be free to trade – and we will blithely forget words like respect or human dignity. This goes so far as to consider that resources belong to those who seize them even though they are not on their land. If necessary, the population living there will be displaced to exploit these resources. The freedom to buy and sell comes first.
