Bill Tuttle moved west, purchased property in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains, and soon found success in the cattle ranching business. Fulfillment of his dream was hollow however with no one to share it with. On a trip to the east, Bill found, married, and persuaded a wealthy young woman to join him on his ranch. Bill's world soon came apart when his wife just couldn't adapt to ranch life in the west. With their three children in tow, she caught a train and returned to the life she had once cherished. Lonesome once again and facing the loss of his ranch, Bill's life took yet another turn as he found longed-for companionship with a Mexican woman with two kids of her own. This relationship lead to a deadly encounter with one of her sons. What happened next was a test of endurance and fortitude as Bill faced the prospect of losing his ranch and once again becoming a lonely man.
