Revolution

Charlie loses his footing and falls from the railway bridge into the path of the train he was watching. Time stops still for his best friends Luke and Adam who look on horrified as Charlie falls to his death. Society is controlled by the all powerful State which cruelly utilises the law to punish any transgressions of its citizens. The State is equally merciless toward children and rips apart Luke's and Adam's families as the accident is investigated and those responsible punished in the most dreadful way. Luke’s father is Stephen Miller, a Senior Inquisitor, who enforces the State’s rules until his life is torn asunder. Stephen sets out on a vendetta against the State and his courage and determination inspires love and devotion in those who follow him. Everything is changed by the revolution but those who help bring it about pay a very heavy price.
