WILHELM REICH: A PERSECUTED SCIENTIST

The history of science has been filled with persecution and massacre in defense of ideas and theories. This brings the persecution of Galileo of the Middle Ages to mind; however, can this same thing happen to a scientist in America today? The answer is yes: in contemporary times, a scientist can still be persecuted even in the USA, as the psychologist Wilhelm Reich did in the mid-20th century, which led to his books and works being banned by the United States’ government and unlawful imprisonment.
