Students from many parts of the world meet in graduate school at the University of Florida in Gainesville during the turbulent 1960s. The Pub is a small tavern that served as a meeting place which originally brought them together and where they continue to meet as they celebrate their lives and friendships against a turbulent background of Civil Rights protests and Anti-Vietnam War demonstrations. Eventually, the group of friends must leave and part and assume their roles in various parts of the world.
