Pocket Anhedonia

I arrived in Anhedonia on a bleak winter night in 1865. The carriage left me quite alone at the giant iron gates of the ‘Hypertrochoia Home For Demented Gentlewomen’. Presently I noticed a discrete bell pull and soon found myself being lead into the forbidding edifice by a tiny shrunken caretaker dressed in black.... On winter's nights in Anhedonia the city walls reverberate with weeping and long shuddering sighs.... Welcome to the city of Anhedonia
