<i>Across Persia</i> (1907) is a first-person travel-adventure narrative by British officer Eliott Crawshay-Williams (1879-1962) who in 1903 took an eight-month journey across the deserts of Persia (Iran). Well written prose, insights on life, Indiana Jones-like explorations of ancient sites and observations of Iranian culture and geography make this an enjoyable and valuable addition from the golden age of travel literature. A rare and costly book normally only available from used book dealers, it is reproduced here for the first time as an affordable paperback facsimile of the 1907 edition, made possible in part by The Million Book Project and Internet Archive (<a href="http://www.archive.org/details/AcrossPersia">free download</a>). New cover art.
