A Vibe Rant Pearl

Vibe Rant Pearl is the story of a young woman’s journey from the Caribbean to the cold, harsh England of the 1950s. Through the eyes of her daughter Pearl, It tells of the hostilities she experienced and the difficult conditions that led to the distance and disconnection that grew between them. When hurt and anger, pain and enmity became the norm, Pearl left home and vowed that she would never treat her children the way her mother had treated her. This book tells the story of how the tables turned, and Pearl’s own children came to see her in the same way as she had seen her mother. Ignored, disrespected, attacked verbally and physically, this is the tale of how Pearl finally came to a place of peace and self knowledge, and the recognition that in spite of everything, her mother had always loved her.
