Silent Screams

A Mother’s Journey through Stillbirth, Grief, Healing, and God’s Redeeming Grace

The book is a Christian memoir based on my true story of stillbirth, profound grief, healing, and God's redeeming grace. The book chronicles my long journey of praying for a daughter, the joy of a healthy pregnancy, and the devastating loss of my baby girl, Desaline, at eight and a half months of pregnancy. Following her stillbirth, I experienced a life-threatening hemorrhage that resulted in an emergency hysterectomy, forever ending my ability to bear children. Rather than focusing solely on tragedy, this memoir explores the emotional, physical, and spiritual realities of grief while revealing how God faithfully carried me through unimaginable loss. Using the biblical imagery of the woman with the alabaster box, the book illustrates how God can transform brokenness into worship and release a fragrance of hope that ministers to others. The memoir also addresses the long-term effects of trauma, the importance of community, and the healing journey that eventually led to the birth of Pearl of Hope Ministries, a ministry dedicated to supporting grieving parents and pointing hurting hearts to Jesus Christ. My desire is for this book to bring comfort to grieving families, equip churches and counselors to minister more effectively, and remind readers that even in life's darkest moments, God's grace is sufficient and hope is never lost.
