"The Sun Rises Anyway" is a novel about what we feel we are missing in life, how we view others that have what we think we deserve, what we'll do to get those things and what happens when we do. “The Sun Rises Anyway” starts out with three very different girls who happen to attend the same high school. Haley is the pretty prep that all the girls want to become and all the boys want to date. Everyone thinks she has it all together, but inside Haley holds a secret. Abigail is the popular snob. She got to the top through conniving and using friends like stepping stones. Most people don’t really like Abigail, but they fear her. Besides, she’s Haley’s best friend. Anna is the ultimate outcast. Not only is Anna a plain-Jane and bad dresser, she is also a Christian. Anna doesn’t understand why life is so hard for her. She deserves to be popular: to have all of her dreams come true. Why do all the bad people have nothing but success, while good people sit at the bottom and faithfully wait for it?
