"What for a Wagon" is a children's book about a little boy who is bored with all his toys. Edward the young boy is found by his sister, Joy, and it is she that tries to help him out of his slump, but Edward is unmoved. Happily Edward and Joy's parents take them to a new toy store where Edward finds renewed interest in a wagon. The shopkeeper strikes up a deal with the young boy who has no money, and Edward trades in his sister for the wagon he desires. At first Edward is overjoyed with his wagon, but soon he learns that he misses his sister the only playmate he had. Learning his lesson Edward tries to undo his mistake. Will he ever get his sister back?
This story is in rhyming verses and tries to teach the reader that material things cannot replace the ones we love.
