The Tammany Trace Rail Trail

The Tammany Trace provided two great rides for us over two years. Our first ride of the trail served to introduce us to riding a first class trail. The second ride was our first trip with another couple, and that ride gave us the opportunity to enjoy sharing the rail trail experience with other people. The second ride happened one week prior to the catastrophe caused by Hurricane Katrina. The horrific hurricane destroyed or damaged much of what we enjoyed and it may be quite some time before others will be able to enjoy the sights and people I describe.
