When We Were Mortals

Imagine waking up and finding yourself at the lowest point of your life, without having any memory of how you got there. You look for clues as to who and what you are, finding nothing but versions of your life that don't feel real. You are told lies and fabricated stories that are only meant to protect you, but end up only driving you further away from the people you love. As you search for what you know is out there, the actual truth, you realize that it is hidden under layers of more information than your limited brain can understand. Only when you accept the fact that you are more than what you see, can you learn to understand it.
