The way the author blends these different characters is exciting indeed. Its theme depicts clashes between dictators and democrats which are the face of modern social-economic and power struggle. It reveals some of the reasons some individual may want to stay perpetually in position of power for years, the consequence of frequent shift in system of government. And the consequences the evil deeds of military rule has brought to democracy. The failure of modern government is nothing but past antecedents of failing leaders, the frustration behind loosing the rein of power. The play, then examine the wise instrument African leaders use to suppress any form of conflict among past and present leaders. The peace in Africa today did not come from the system of government alone but from the cons of the leaders in place.
