WRITINGS is a collection of stories: "Soldier," "An Opening at the Gate," "From "The St. Louis Tea Company" (an excerpt), "Four Short Stories: Mason Stooge," "Mary Elizabeth Mason," "Tony Toody," "Ann Brown," and "Hand Gone Wild," "Mayling Song," "The Man at the Desk," and "This is Hand Here Mister." This collection of stories includes science fiction, historical fiction set during the Vietnam war, satirical detective stories set in the 1970's. The hardcover edition also ads poetry, an experimental prose poem, "Those Absolving, Reaction in Second-Time Had No Place."
