Fiber + Thread = Art II

In March 2009, members of Fiber Art Northeast put together an exhibition to share their 
work with the public. The beautiful gallery space at the Mahopac Public Library in 
Mahopac, NY, with its gorgeous cork walls and abundant light, provided an ideal location and Fiber + Thread = Art came to be. The exhibit was a resounding success and one of the most talked about and well attended in the new gallery space.


 Following the positive response the first show received, it was decided to 
organize a second exhibtion for 2010. Like its predecessor, Fiber + Thread = Art II has no theme. The only requirements for the artwork are that each piece be no larger than 16" square and that each include fiber and thread in the composition. Each piece is 
mounted on a white 18” square gallery-wrapped stretched canvas to provide visual cohesiveness within the exhibit and to allow the work to stand out on the gallery walls.
